Basketball – U19 All Ireland Schools Cup, Oct 2019

This score line doesn’t do justice to how competitive a game this was and the efforts of Captain Nico Coll (5th Year) and his squad and how well we played. At one stage we led 30-25 and as we trailed by 14 going into the final quarter. Waterpark were superb, boasting an Irish international, and ultimately the physicality and strength of a team of 6th Years against our side of 4th and 5th Years was the key difference.

Nico Coll Captain (5th Year) scored 19 points, Jimmy Gilligan 17 and Ronin O’Halloran (both T Yr) 11 points. It was an excellent performance with an impressive scoring total that shows the potential of the side.
