6th Year Gold Medal Debate 2019

Congratulations to Tom Dwan on winning this year’s Gold Medal Debate before an audience of his peers. He will be the valedictorian at both the class of 2019’s Graduation lunch on Sunday 19th May and at Prize Day the following Saturday, 25th May.

Tom proposed the motion “That this house has every confidence that the Class of 2019 will change society for the better”.

The boys had prepared well but it was a pity that some of the jokes crossed a line.

I thank Tom and his fellow speakers – Lochlann Gallagher, Niall Meaher, Peter Coyle, Robert Kelly, John Fennelly, Michael Ryan and Diarmuid Foley – for their contribution to the debate.
