Rugby – Leinster Junior Finals, April 2019

Congratulations to Captain Charlie O’Brien (3rd Year) and his squad on the retention of the Junior 2nd League, Premier Division in Donnybrook on Thursday 11th March. To a man, the Junior 2nds performed very well against a talented St Michael’s side.

I thank our coach Mr Donnelly who was ably assisted by Mr Fairley, Mr Daly and Mr Creighton.

Captain Sean de Burca (3rd Year) and his squad lost nothing in defeat against a physically superior Clongowes side, in the final of the Junior 3rd Cup played in Donnybrook on Thursday 14th March. In their quarter-final victory over CBC and surprise semi-final win over the Junior 4ths, the Junior 5ths played with great spirit and determination. They reproduced this in the final and finished the game attacking the Clongowes line.

I thank our coaches Mr Brennan, Mr MacDermott, Roghan McMahon (Class of 2015), Carl Delaney and Tom Sheeran (both Class of 2017) for their preparation of the squad.
