Blackrock College Parents Association
A warm welcome is extended to the parents and guardians of students in Blackrock College past and present.
The Blackrock College Parents’ Association (BCPA) represents the parents of the boys attending the College. Each year group has an independent Committee whose activities are co-ordinated by the Parents’ Council. The Association’s goal is to work with the Principal, Deans and Teachers to help ensure the best possible holistic education & spiritual upbringing for our sons.
In sending our sons to Blackrock College, we are making a huge commitment to their education and this commitment is reflected in a high level of engagement by the parents with every aspect of school life. The College is hugely supportive of parental engagement and greatly values our input. The boys’ education goes well beyond the work in the classrooms and it is critical that parents understand and support the ethos and educational values of the College.
It is only with your assistance that the BCPA can deliver the desired level of support for our boys and the school. An enormous amount of voluntary time and effort is provided by the parent body which complements the endeavour of an extraordinary team of dedicated school personnel in the delivery of classes, lectures and a broad range of extra and co-curricular activity.
On behalf of the Parents’ Association, I welcome you as a Blackrock parent and I would encourage you to participate in the work of the Association at some stage during your boy’s journey through the College. For our part, we will continue to represent the parents’ body in support of the school, it’s pupils and the wider community as best we can.
Many thanks.
BRIAN O’SULLIVAN
CHAIRMAN, BCPA.
