UCD Junior Schools Debating Competition
Quarter Finals

The QUARTER – FINALS of the Junior Schools Debating Competition, hosted by the UCD Law Society and the UCD Literary and Historical Society, took place in UCD on Thursday March 2nd.

Motion: This House supports the voluntourism industry.

For the purposes of this debate, voluntourism is defined as a form of tourism in which individuals from developed nations participate in voluntary work, typically for a charity, in developing nations.

The following students competed in the Quarter Finals in UCD:

  • Jamie Browne-Lynch & Josh Murphy (both 3rd Year)
  • Thomas Murray (2nd Year)

Jamie Browne-Lynch has qualified to speak as an individual in the Semi – Finals on March 9th in UCD.

We congratulate Jamie, Josh and Thomas on getting this far in the competition.
