Rugby – Noel Turley Memorial Trophy 2022

Noel Turley Memorial Trophy
In aid of SPIRASI, the Spiritan Unit that works with asylum seekers in Ireland
November 2022

BLACKROCK COLLEGE 9 | ST MICHAEL’S COLLEGE 19 |
The Captain Oliver Coffey (6th Year) and his squad competed with determination throughout but lost out in a game closer than the score line suggests. Our senior squad will be better for the experience.
We congratulate St Michael’s on their victory.
We thank Mr Vanstone, his fellow coaches, Mr Flor Madden and his TYr ‘Spirasi’ Committee that worked with their St. Michael’s counterparts; the St. Michael’s and Blackrock Union and particularly St. Michael’s Chaplain Mr Doolan who chaired the organising Committee.
We also thank Mr John Hammond and UCD RFC for allowing us to use the Belfield Bowl, Mr Conor Smyth of Snap Print, and Mr John Sherwin, VideosOnTheNet.com, who provided the live streaming.
This was a great Blackrock/St. Michael’s occasion, and we thank Noel Turley’s widow Catherine, for presenting the cup.
