2nd Year Family Mass
Mission Sunday

Sunday, 16th October 2022

There was a great turnout for the 2nd Year Family Mass last Sunday, 16th October. Chief celebrant Fr. Colm Reidy C.S.Sp. shared with the congregation his Missionary experience, 26 years in Angola. The Spiritans are a missionary order, and we are very proud of the Priests, Brothers and Laity that have served in Africa, South America and Asia providing succour, education and the word of God.

There was marvellous participation by the 2nd Year boys at the mass from altar servers, processionists, cantors, readers, musicians and of course the fabulous choir.

We thank the President of the Union John O’ Doherty (class of 1986) and his wife Nicola, for representing the extended Blackrock community. We thank our colleagues Ms O’Kane, Mr Orrock, Mr Grumley Traynor, Ms Harlowe, Mr O’Reilly, Mr Keena, Ms Crimmins, Mr Herlihy, Ms Nolan and of course organiser in chief Mr Madden for their preparation of the boys and presence last Sunday.

Finally, we thank Chief celebrant Fr Reidy, concelebrants Fr O’Brolchain, Fr Nash and Fr Dundon, our sacristan Ms Irene Dunne and our Eucharistic Ministers Louis McDermott, Diarmaid Monahan, Evan Lyons and Oscar Dougan (all 6th Year) for a wonderful liturgy.
