Literacy Day 2022

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.”

A tremendous range of activities and talks were at the heart of our promotion of the importance of books and reading during out Literacy Day last Thursday, 6th October 2022.

Our boys were encouraged to ‘switch off’ and read. Authors Jane Mitchell and Dave Rudden spoke to our 3rd and 2nd Years respectively and there was an exhibition on writers, organised by the Art Department.

The Friday quiz on books and movies, creative writing workshops and a literacy competition were among the many activities.

We thank Ms Kelleher and Ms Andrea Dillon for their inspiration and organisation.
