Junior Schools Debating Competition

October 2023

Round 1.B of the Junior Schools Debating Competition, hosted by the UCD Law Society and the UCD Literary and Historical Society, took place in UCD on Wednesday October 11th.

Blackrock College have five teams competing in this competition.

On Wednesday, October 11th Rock C and Rock D competed in UCD proposing the motions:

MOTION 1: This House Would ban disposable vapes.

Rock C: Dan Hayden & Daniel Goss (both 2nd Year) in 3rd Prop


MOTION 2: This House Would Make Voting mandatory.

Rock D: Ross Murphy & Paddy English (both 2nd Year) in 1st Prop

On Wednesday, October 18th, we have Rock E (Callum Burke and Marc Hooper in 3rd Year) competing in UCD Junior Schools Round 1.C.
