Blackrock College had two Junior Debaters who qualified for the semi-finals of the Junior Schools Debating Competition, hosted by the UCD Law Society and the UCD Literary and Historical Society. This competition took place in UCD on March 14th.

Motion for this Round
This House Would focus on adapting to the consequences of climate change, rather than trying to prevent it.
Speaking in Opening Opposition, Daniel and Thomas put forward a strong argument against this motion and secured themselves a place in the UCD Final on April 10th.
At the beginning of this competition in September 2023, there were 298 students who took part and we are now down to the top 12.
We congratulate Thomas and Daniel on their dedication and commitment to Junior Debating and on their epic debating skills in this competition.
