Golf Team Vs Portmarnock Golf Club, May 2023

Congratulations to the Blackrock College Golf Team on beating Portmarnock juniors on their home patch. The 6 singles matches resulted in a 4-2 victory for the college, and the quality of golf on show was excellent. The weather co-operated on the day, so the famous links course was a treat for the visiting players. All matches were contested in the right competitive spirit and wins from Conor Ryan and James Heavey (6th year), Sam Grennell (5th year), and Freddie Bracken (3rd year) meant that the visitors came out on top for the second year running. Among the Portmarnock ranks, there was a notable performance from Blackrock student Jeremy Carroll (4th year), where he won a point for the home team.
