Round 2

Thursday, 28th October 2022

Round 2 of the Junior Schools Debating Competition, hosted by the UCD Law Society and the UCD Literary and Historical Society, took place in UCD on Thursday October 28th.

Blackrock College had four teams competing in this competition:

Team A: Josh Murphy and Jamie Browne Lynch (3rd Year)
Motion: This House Would Have Ireland Join NATO – 1st Opposition

Team B: Thomas Murray and Daniel Burns (2nd Year)
Motion: This House Would Have Ireland Join NATO – 3rd Proposition

Team C: Brian Carroll and Tom Hayden (3rd Year)
Motion: This House Would Have Ireland Join NATO – 3rd Opposition

Team D: Matthew Leamy and Michael Kennedy (2nd Year)
Motion: This House Believes That Children Under 12 Should Not Own A Smart Device – 1st Proposition

Team B and Team D came first in their room and Team A came second in their room.

We have one more round to compete in in this competition.
