CADLC – World Book Day 2023

World Book Day & Easter Egg Competition
2023
To promote books and reading, on World Book Day, students were invited to enter a match the quote competition, where they had to match 6 quotes to 6 books. Well done to the 87 students who entered and to Aran O’Flaherty, 5th Year who won a €20 one4all voucher. Just the week before Easter, students were invited to come view the Lord of the Rings display in front of the CADLC and to guess the translation of the Elvish language. Well done to the 50 students who entered and to Mark Cox, TY, Gavin McGrath, 3rd Year and William Collins, 3rd Year who correctly guessed the answer was the Lord of the Rings and who each won an Easter Egg.
We would encourage students and teachers to go to the library and borrow a book. There is a wide range of books from graphic novels to murder mystery that suits all reading tastes. Once you find the right book, reading is a great pastime. It’s relaxing, it’s escapism and it can help you do better in school and work.
