Basketball – 2nd Year League Competition v Adamstown CC

The Second-Year league began with a match against a very skilful Adamstown side who led 14-7 after the first quarter.

Throughout the match, we tried to create momentum on attack, but defensively they were excellent and shut down our drives to the basket. We went into the final quarter 18-49 down. Despite the wide gap in the score, the team put in every effort to keep the pressure on, scoring our highest number of baskets in the fourth quarter. Our boys can be proud of their drive in continuing to play as competitively as possible.

Leading the offensive charge were Captain Peter Lee (25 points) and Vice-Captain Santiago Franza Enriquez (4 points). Defensively, the team worked to keep pressure on a well-organised Adamstown side.
