TY Soccer Friendly

This was the first game of the season for our Transition Year Soccer Team and it was a really useful exercise for the entire squad that was used over the course of the game.

A strong first half performance saw us lead 3-1 at the break with two goals from Jack Kelly (Captain) and Pearce Kearney. However St.Kilians were the better side for the first portion of the second half and were unlucky not to narrow the gap.

Jack Kelly completed his hat-trick and scored the fourth to secure the win.

Alonso Lopez Reina at left-back and Martin Penamaria in goal were both superb also. This was ideal preparation of the squad in advance of playing Tullow CS in the TY Leinster Schools cup next Tuesday 16^th at 12pm.
