Basketball – U-19A Basketball East Leinster League v Adamstown CC

Congratulations to Maitiu Heckmann (Captain – 6th year) and his squad on winning a very tough game in which the final scoreline was a tad flattering!

It was a really tight game where truthfully neither side could claim to be flowing and playing well, it became a question of heart, desire and will to win. Leading 35-32 going into the 4th quarter, the side showed an incredible ability to dig deep putting in an outstanding performance to win it 20-4.

Inspirational captain Maitiu Heckmann led by example with a phenomenal return of 30 points. Eric Brandt (6th year), with 12 points, was excellent also. However, special mention must go to Luke Brophy (6th Year) for his tenacity, energy and work rate that was absolute key to our eventual winning of the game.

We thank Mr O’Neill and his team of coaches Rory Linnane (Class of 2017), Barry O’Sullivan (Class of 2018) and Roberto Brusasca (Class of 2019).
