Commissioning 6th Year Eucharistic Ministers

There was a great turnout at last Sunday’s Family Mass. Castle Director, Mr MacDermott, emphasised the importance of Community – ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ – to the development of a youngster. The Castle is such a community where all must contribute to the common good to flourish themselves.

President of the Union, Stephen Mullin (Class of 1983) and his wife Mary Rose represented that invaluable bond between Blackrock Past and Present.

I thank our Celebrant Fr O’Brolchain, Fr De Blacam and Fr Healy, Deacon Liam, our cantor Alexander Doyle (6th Year), Chaplain, Mr Puszczewicz, organist, Carol, our Director of Boarding, Mr MacDermott, our Housemasters Mr Creighton, Mr Halpin, Mr Moore, Mr O’Boyle, Mr O’Brien, Deputy Principals Mr Herlihy, Ms Sheehan (Willow Park), Deans Mr Brennan and Ms Brunswick, The Boarders and their families for making it such a wonderful Liturgy.
