What is cable wakeboarding?
Cable wakeboarding is an increasingly popular sport that is already well established internationally with more than 400 cable parks around the world. It has recently been short listed alongside seven other sports for the Olympic Games in 2020.
How does cable wakeboarding work?
Essentially, the wakeboard cable replaces the boat and pulls the rider along a course. Wakeboarding is a surface water sport which involves riding a wakeboard over the surface of a body of water. The wakeboard is a small, mostly rectangular, thin board with very little displacement and shoe-like bindings mounted to it. It was developed from a combination of water skiing, snowboarding, and surfing techniques.
