U14 HURLING V TEMPLEOGUE COLLEGE
Blackrock 11:10
Templeogue College 1:5
Congratulations to Stephen Dunne (2nd Year) and his Squad on their victory over Templeogue College in the quarter-final of the Hurling Championship. A watertight defence was key, working eagerly to turn over the ball and change defence into attack. A lot of this ball was sent into the path of James Kos (2nd Year), who was in decisive form all day knocking up a personal tally of 5 goals and 3 points.
Blackrock led by 25 points at half-time, thanks to goals from Zach Kelly, Niall Comerford, Donal McKeon and James Kos (all 2nd Year). Templeogue to their credit, never gave up, but thanks to some fine goal-keeping by Tom Handrick (2nd Year) we stretched our lead In the second half.
We play the winners of Maynooth PP and Clonkeen College in the Semi-Final of the Championship.
I thank Mr Mulligan for his preparation of the Squad.
