TRANSITION YEAR DRAGONS’ DEN 2014

The seven finalists in this year’s Dragon’s Den competition presented their project to our Dragons – Paul McGowan, (Class of 1981), Aidan Corless (1979), Stephen Kilroy (1981), Declan Gardiner (1980), Jonathan Stanley (1979) and President Greg Moore (1982), before an audience of their peers in the Lecture Hall on Monday last, 3rd March, 2014.

Dragons’ Chair Paul McGowan praised all the contributors for their comprehensive presentations and excellent business plans.

We congratulate WINNER STEPHEN ALGER (Interactive Arts), Runner-Up Tiernan O’Hagan (First Peck), 3rd Place Conor Cowhey and David Fenn (Just Tickets.ie) and 4th James Byrne (Study Success) on their projects.

Sean Hassett and Matthew Long (Endurade), Shane Marmion,

Joe Ennis and Mathew Duignan (Zwinderz) and Niall Stokes (Crystal Clear Clubs) were deserving finalists and received Certification of Commendation.

I thank Mr Copeland and the Business Department, Ms Nulty,

Mr Brennan and Mr Sullivan for their organisation and facilitation of the project now in its sixth year.
