THOMAS F. MEAGHER FOUNDATION

An Irish Flag was presented to the College by President Michael D Higgins at a ceremony held in Waterford City yesterday, Thursday 12th March 2015.
Mr Brennan, Cian de Búrca, Harry Doherty, and Ray Geary (all Transition Year) received the Flag on our behalf.
The Thomas F. Meagher Foundation has offered a Flag to every school in the Country in honour of the great Irish Patriot, US Army General and Governor of Montana who flew the first Tricolour Flag on the 7th March 1848 from 33, The Mall, Waterford.
The Flag will be flown during the 2016 flag week, which will take place from the 10th – 17th March 2016.
