The Epiphany of the Lord
THE EPIPHANY OF THE LORD
JANUARY 6TH, 2016
School recommenced on the Feast of the Epiphany which was celebrated with two Masses, the first for 6th, 5th and 4th Years followed by the coming together of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Years, both in the Des Places Sports Hall.
Bro. Joe in his Homily for the Senior Boys reminded them that God enters our lives in ways which we don’t expect, that we do not know. He suggested to the Junior Boys that the question is not “What did you get for Christmas?” but “What did you give for Christmas?”.
Of course, the greatest gift of all was the Infant Jesus, God made man. Two marvellous liturgies – the perfect start to the New Year.
