Swimming Gala

A fantastic turnout!

There was a great atmosphere poolside for the annual swimming gala last night (21/10/14).

Matthew long (5th year) won the feature event, the president’s trophy, in a fingertip finish with Sean Hassett (5th year).

The junior championship was won by Peter Walsh who edged out Jack Stapleton (both 3rd year).

The inter-house 5-leg relay, with a boy from each year group, was won by Ebenrecht house.

I congratulate all the house captains and swimmers on a tremendous turnout – not a vacant lane through 32 events.  Brilliant!

I thank Mr Kehoe, Mr Pickering, Mr Vanstone, Ms McGee, Mr Herlihy, Mr Tom Ryan, Ms Dobbyn, Mr Brennan, Mr Dunne, Mr Hurl, Mr Peter Smyth, Ms McMahon, Mr O’Connor, Mr Rowsome, Mr Kenny, Ms Walsh and past students Frank Vaughan and Ryan O’Dea (both class of 2013) for their assistance and presence on the night.
