SWIMMING GALA

Last Thursday’s Annual Swimming Gala with a programme of 32 events provided very competitive racing and a fantastic atmosphere.
The feature event, The Principal’s Trophy was won by Sean Desmond (5th Year) with Michael Long pipping Sean Hassett (both 6th Year) for Second Place. Max Connolly (3rd Year) won the Junior Championship Race with Philip Towns (2nd Year) second.
I congratulate the Deans and House Captains on the excellent participation.
Leman House won the 2nd, 3rd and 6th Year events. Duff won in 5th Year and De Valera won in Transition Year.
The OPEN 50 M CRAWL RACES were won by:
Philip Towns from Jack Grant in 2nd Year
Max Connolly from Theo Stephens Kehoe in 3rd Year
Peter Walsh from Josh Warren in 4th Year
Charlie Lawless from Ronan Mullen in 5th Year
Matthew Long from Declan O’Sullivan in 6th Year
It never ceases to amaze me how efficiently it runs.
