Blackrock College V Harrow School (England)

A formidable Harrow Swim Team visited Blackrock over the weekend and proved to be too powerful, certainly at this time of year, winning each of the 25 events.

Our team Captained by Max Connolly (5th Year) was valiant in defeat and represented us extremely well.

There is no doubt that the experience was worthwhile as it provide a great opportunity for our boys to compete against top class swimmers.

There was a fabulous atmosphere in the pool arena and I thank Cristina Mei and her team of mothers – Aisling Buckley, Helen Fenelon, Ann O’Malley, Mary Fahy – and Dad Ian Rowland who helped with the time-keeping and results. Also I thank the Parents led by Clodagh O’Connor, Fiona Cosgrave and Jeremy Towers who provided the snacks.

I thank our coaches Carole Walsh and Robbie Condon, Starter Mark O’Connor and Games Administrator Mr O’Brien for their organisation and direction.
