Summer Concert 2018

Last Thursday’s (10th May) Summer Concert held in the Jubilee Hall, was a wonderful showcase of the broad range of musical talent at Blackrock.

There were 18 acts including the 1st Year, Boarders, Libermann, Adult and 6th Year Choirs, our Orchestra, CeoltóIrí Carriaga, Soloists and duets, ably connected by our MC James Lunt (6th Year).

The concert opened and closed on a crescendo with the combined Choirs and Orchestra performing ‘the Greatest Show’ and ‘We are the Champions’ with soloists Tom Dwan and Stephen Ryan respectively.

A powerful start and finish. What was in between certainly didn’t disappoint either.

I congratulate all our performers and of course, my colleagues Mr Grumley-Traynor, Ms O’Kane, Mr Cavanagh, Mr Chris O’Sullivan, Mr Orrock and Mr Prendergast who encourage and inspire the boys day by day.
