Spiritan Development Education Day Templeogue College, Friday 24th March

Adam O’Sullivan, Andrew Ryan, Max McKenna, Michael Ryan, Dylan Hutchinson, Michael McDonald, Drummond McGinn and Ruairi Moore (all Transition Year), under the guidance and leadership of Ms. Payne represented Blackrock at this annual gathering of Spiritan Schools.

Our project, ‘Climate Change – Are we Bothered’ – was brilliantly delivered by Andrew, Max, Dylan, Ruairi and Drummond. It was particularly praised for engagement of the whole school community through Environment Awareness Week, Catholic Schools Week as well as through R.E. and Irish classes. The project urges each member of our Blackrock community to have a personal action plan and encourages solidarity across the College through an Action Day in May (more information to follow).

I thank Templeogue College for hosting this year’s event, our Trustees for organising it and in particular Ms. Payne for inspiring our boys and assisting them in the delivery of a first rate project.
