Soccer – Metropolitan League, South Dublin Senior Final

This was a well deserved victory for Captain Aran Horgan (6th Year) and his squad. Hurricane Georgina was at its worst in a wet and windy Wayside Celtic ground in Kilternan last Wednesday, 23 January 2018.

You could not overstate how difficult the conditions were but nothing was going to dampen the ardour of our squad and they showed magnificent form particularly when playing into the worst of the weather in the second half, goals from Sean McCann (6th Year) and Camilo Fernandez (5th Year) clinched victory over an equally committed Coláiste Eánna side.

Top Class: This our first trophy since 2015 and there is more to come as we advance to the semi-finals of the Dublin league. We also have the visit of St. Bedes, Manchester to come.

I think our coaches Mr O’Brien, Ms Mullen, Seán O’Dowd (Class of 2015) and Brian Horgan (Class of 2014) who have done a magnificent job.
