FAIS Leinster Senior Cup (2nd Round)

Congratulations to Captain Aran Horgan (6th year) and the Senior Soccer team on their FAIS Leinster Cup victory over Confey College, Leixlip. An excellent start to the game saw an early goal from William Griffin (5th Year). The team’s interplay continues to be of the highest order and it was no surprise that a second followed, from the penalty spot by Aran Horgan.

Confey grew into the game after this and had a few opportunities to score. After some excellent play on the right hand side of the pitch an Andy Lyons cross found Seán McCann (6th Year) back post to make it 3-0 at half time.

We started strongly in the second half and the goals from Luke O’Hara (6th Year), Harry Keyes (5th Year) two from William Griffan (5th Year) and two from Gary Galvin (6th Year) sealed the impressive 9-0 victory.
