FAIS Leinster Senior Cup

Commiserations to Captain Aran Horgan (6th year) and the senior soccer team on their 1-2 defeat to St. Marys DS, Drogheda played on Wednesday, 13th December.

We dominated most of the game and a Michael O’Keane (6th year) goal gave us a 1-0 lead. However to their credit St. Marys responded well and equalised within 3 minutes to leave the score 1-1 at half time. The second half continued in the same vein but we were unable to capitalise and with only 10 seconds of normal time to play St. Marys scored the winning goal.

The disappointment of the squad and coaches was palpable. They had given their all, played great football but just couldn’t get that second goal.

The Dublin Metropolitan league is still a realistic proposition and we also have the visit of St Bedes Manchester to look forward to in the New Year.
