Our first thoughts are for our sister College, St Michael’s, who gave so much to a stirring contest played in near arctic conditions.

We salute both squads for their commitment, courage and craft throughout a memorable Cup match. It was contested with tremendous sportsmanship and a competitive spirit that was a credit to both Colleges and to our shared spirit and ethos.

Captain Nick Timoney (6th Year) and his Squad have an appreciation of Cup Rugby and realise that, when the understandable elation subsides, they have much to work on if the Cup is to be retained.

Mr Moore, our medical team Dr Gallagher and Ms Fitzgerald for their attention to detail, preparation and care of the team.
