Sci Fest 2017
Wednesday, May 3rd
Our 2nd Year boys produced a series of excellent results at the ‘Sci fest’ held at Blanchardstown IT on Wednesday, May 3rd.
Conor Slattery won the Junior Individual Award in the Physical Science and Technology category with his project “The Prevention of Sodium Chloride Build-up on Glass Windows”. Liam Prior and Oscar Bourke Mullaney came 2nd in the Junior Group, Life Science, with their project “Can Toilet Germs Reach Your Toothbrush?”. James Crowley was commended for his communication and delivery on his project “Meet the Microbes: What is the Best Environment for the Growth of Bacteria?”.
I congratulate all our participants and encourage them to develop their projects with next year’s Young Scientist in mind.
Finally, I thank Ms. McDonough for accompanying the boys on the day and Ms. Shevlin, Ms. O’Mahony and Mr. Rowsome for their preparation and encouragement of the boys.
