This proved to be an epic encounter as the House 5ths almost upset the odds.

First of all, we congratulate both sides on making it an All ‘Rock Final. Captain Harry Norris (Colts) and Tim Maguire (House) and their respective Squads served up an
excellent spectacle which did justice to the front lawn, which is probably the best pitch in the country.

11 – 10 to the House at half-time, the lead changed three times in the second Half (11 – 17; 18 – 17; 18 – 22) before the destiny of the Cup was finally decided.

There is no doubt that Blackrock was the Winner.

I thank the Coaches Mr Fitzsimons, Mr McDonnell (Joe) and Mr Walsh of the House and Mr Murray, Mr Ó Curraoin and Karl Curran (Class of 2009) and  Jack Power (Class of 2014) the Colts for their work with our boys through the year.
