Rugby Senior Cup 1st Round – SCT V Pres Bray

A stern test.  Survival.  Pres Bray delivered on what we expected of them.  We certainly need to learn from this experience and step up.

We congratulate Captain Sean O’Brien and his squad on this victory but they certainly know that they will have to do better if they wish to go further.

We congratulate Pres Bray on a spirited and skilful performance which exposed shortcomings in our game.  The consolation is that they squad is in a position to do something about it.  Maybe, just maybe, it was the start that we needed.

I thank our dedicated coaching team of Mr Vanstone, Mr Pickering, Mr Lambe, Mr Murray, Mr Toomey, Mr Moore, James Burke and Liam Turner (both Class of 2018) and our medical team of Dr. Boyle, Ms Fitzgerald, Mr Mulrean, for their phenomenal commitment to the boys.  I thank Ross O’Reilly and the cheerleaders for their leadership in the stand.
