Leinster Schools’ Junior Cup Final Replay

BLACKROCK COLLEGE J.C.T. 17 | ST. MICHAEL’S COLLEGE 31 |
---|
Captain Hugo O’Malley (3rd Year) and his squad received a rousing reception on their return to the College after yesterday’s final (29th March). It was due recognition of their courage, tenacity, commitment and skill against an exceptionally talented St. Michael’s side. We congratulate St. Michael’s, captained by the very impressive William Hickey, – impressive in terms of both rugby ability and character – on their victory.
This Blackrock junior team lived up to the finest traditions of the College. We are very proud of them.
I thank the coaches and medical team of Mr. Daly, Mr Murray, Mr Fairley, Karl Curran (Class of 2009), Mr. Moore, Mr. Toomey, Dr Boyle and Ms. Fitzgerald who have made an enormous contribution to these young men, to their parents and to the school.
And so ends the Cup Campaigns for 2017. Two (three) finals. No cups. Small margins. Huge effort. Educational experiences. Learning on and off the pitch. Great cheerleaders. Excellent support. Massive commitment by boys, parents and staff.
Well done: We’ll be back!
