Senior 2nds League Premier Division Semi-Final

BC CASTLE 2nds 11 | CLONGOWES 2nds 12 |
Played under lights on Monday evening, 16th April, on the S.C.T. pitch, this was an extraordinary match, full of honest endeavour and uncompromising commitment. When you lose by one point, it is never about just one mishap. It is about the entire game, the combination of ups and downs over the 70 minutes. No one man is at fault as everything, not just one thing, makes that slight difference.
This was a very good Castle side who deserved more. These boys have given so much, not just to the Castle but also to the S.C.T. Their opposition and support primed the ‘S’ for cup victory. Captain Tadhg O’Hagan (6th Year) and his squad have that satisfaction to put alongside this disappointment. We will remember you well for this.
I thank the coach Mr Murray who also gave his all and of course our senior coaches Mr Vanstone, Mr Pickering and Mr Lambe.

Congratulations to Captain Niall Brophy and his squad on an excellent performance in the final held in Donnybrook yesterday, Tuesday, 17th April.
It was an excellent team performance played in blustery conditions. The skill levels were a joy to watch.
I thank our coaches Mr Donnelly, Mr Daly, Mr Fairley, Mr Curran and our games administrator Mr O’Brien who makes it happen.

Another Cliff-hanger. 53 points shared in a brilliant game of great attacking rugby. Sadly Jake Crosbie (3rd Year) and his squad were just pipped in this gripping semi-final, played on the senior pitch yesterday morning, Tuesday 17th April.
The Junior 4’s contested the issue to the end and we share in their disappointment but also marvel at their courage, commitment and competence.
I thank our coaches Roghan McMahon, Carl Delaney and Mr MacDermott for their leadership and inspiration.
