Rowing – Neptune Regatta 2018
The Neptune Regatta on the weekend of the 6th/7th April provided much success for our rowers.
Junior 14 – Double Sculls Event
Matthew Kane and Rory O’Shea (both 2nd Year) won their Junior 14 double sculls event.
Junior 15 – Coxed Quad & Double Sculls Event
Our Junior 15 coxed quad won their event.
Junior 15 Coxed Quad: Alex Cronnelly, Oisin FitzGerald, Hugo Mangan, Jack Tarpey (bow) (all 3rd Year) and Louis Crowe (cox) (4th Year)
Alex Cronnelly and Oisin FitzGerald (both 3rd Year) won their Junior 15 double sculls event.
Junior 16 – 8+ (stroke) & Coxed Quad
The Junior 16 8+ (stroke) were narrowly beaten by Coláiste Iognáid (Galway) in their final.
Junior 16 8+ (stroke) Quad: MJ Power, Dan Kyrychenko, Peter O’ Grady (all 4th Year), Matthew Gibney, Michael O’Sullivan, Theo Boland, Sam Horkan (all 3rd Year)
Junior 16 coxed quad won the Junior 16 quad – winning 3 races to do so.

Commercial Regatta
The Junior 16 Quad was beaten in their heat by Commercial in the Commercial Regatta on the Sunday, 8th April.
Junior 16 Quad: MJ Power, Peter O’Grady, Dan Kyrychenko and Ben Hardiman
Matthew Gibney and Theo Boland (both 6th Year) won the Junior 16 double sculls event – winning 3 races to do so.
Junior 18 – Single Sculls Event
Louis Crowe raced the Junior 18 single on Friday, he made it through his first two rounds but was beaten in the final. John Fennelly (5th Year) competed in the Junior 18 singles scull.
