ROWING
The Irish Indoor Rowing Championships were held in University Limerick last Saturday, 24th January 2015.
Congratulations to Andrew Ennis and Charlie Lawless (both Transition Year) who came 1st and 2nd in the U16s 500 m Sprint.
Rob Somers (Transition Year) won SILVER in the U18s 500 m Sprint.
In the Transition Year 2 km Race our Team of: Charlie Lawless, Rob Somers, Jack Stacey and Andrew Ennis won the team event with our 2nd Team of Cian de Burca, Jack Crowley, Scott Rolland and William O’Riordan finishing 4th.
It was great to see that so many 2nd Years made the trip to Limerick and our team of: Joshua Loughrey, Andrew Ryan, Carl Regan and Thomas McCormack finished 4th of 9 in the team event with the team of: Fergal McCluskey, John Fennelly and Tom Higginbotham in 5th Place.
31 boys travelled to Limerick and I thank Coaches Laura Gannon, William Truman, and Team Manager Ms Brophy for their organisation of the opportunity and accompanying the boys.
