Remembering the Rising with Poetry and Music in the CADLC on Thursday April 28^th, 2016

Well done to the 6^th Year ensemble who, under the guidance of Ms Patrice O’Connor, began the recital with a moving rendition of “All the Fine Young Men”

Congratulations to James Cronin, James Huggard, Marcus Ó Faoláin, Stephen Scanlon Rooney, and Brian McGlone (all 6^th Year) who read a collection of poetry on the theme of war, inspired by the events of the 1916 Rising, to a captivated audience.

The Music and Poetry recital ended on an upbeat note as  our Irish Traditional  Band, Ceoltóirí Carraige, played My darling asleep, Gallagher’s Jig and Father Kelly’s Reel.
