The Castle (6th) Dayboys won the 2017 Paul Stanley after an extraordinary comeback on the Senior Soccer Pitch on Wednesday last, 17th May.

The House Dayboys let 3-0 with 10 minutes to go but goals from Mark Dignam, Charlie Fitzgerald, a cracking volley from the edge of the box, and James Moriarty, in injury time, brought the game to penalties.

Goals from Gary Galvin, Robert Abernethy and Jonty Byrne had given the House a 3-0 half time lead before the late scoring spree changed everything. It was great to have Mr Vincent Stanley, father of Paul, and Paul’s brother David in to present medals to both teams and the trophy to winning captain Jack Reilly.
