Transition Year
Derry Clarke of l’Ecrivan restaurant was chairman of the judging panel at our Masterchef 2018 final. 10 Transition Year qualifiers went to battle. To be in the final was an achievement in itself as 37 had contested the qualifiers.
WINNER
Colm Hogan was declared the winner.
2ND PLACE
Hugo O’Reilly came second.
3RD PLACE
Lorcan Patchell placed third.
FINALISTS
As Derry said, they were all winners and we congratulate Oliver Bosworth, Callum Byrne, Liam Blackburn, Josh Baker, Mark Landers, Fionn McArdle and Jack Slattery as the standard was exceptional.
It was a fantastic competition and we thank our judges Derry Clarke, David Murphy (Class of 2013) and Ms Marren who has led this fantastic event for over 20 years now.
We also thank Mr Toolan, Mr O’Neill, the parents’ and Transition years in attendance who provided the encouragement and support.
