MARY
“THE MOST POWERFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD”
So reads the cover of this month’s issue of the National Geographic Magazine (available in the Learning Centre).
The editor asks the question “What is it about Mary? She is the world’s most depicted woman, yet amongst the most mysterious, with more written about her in the Koran than in the Bible.”
Mary stands up for us, approves of us, watches out for us, is on our side.
Today, December 8th, we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, of Mary Most Pure.
