LEMAN CONCERT
REMARKABLE – It just keeps getting better!
Our boys, past students, staff and parents provided a superb evening’s entertainment at the National Concert Hall last night (Sunday, 18 January 2015).
Our guests, President of the Union, Mr Shane Murphy and his wife Hilary, the Provincial, Fr. Marc Whelan, Chairman of the D.E.A. Fr. Peter Conaty and the Education Executive of the D.E.A. Ms Vivienne Dunne were witnesses to an inspiring evening.
Ms O’Kane, in her programme notes, wrote: “We have to feed our souls as well as our minds; we must have time to dream, create, perform, spectate if we are to exact from our brief time on earth more than mere scratchings of day-to-day survival”.
This uplifting evening certainly fed our souls as the Choirs, Orchestra, Bands, Groups, Duets and Soloists delighted the audience with their interpretation of classical, contemporary and traditional music. I congratulate and thank the performers, MCs, Crew and, of course, my colleagues who made it possible – Mr McDonald, Ms O’Kane, Mr Sullivan, Mr Toirleac O’Brien, Mr André Cavanagh, Mr Swan and Mr Tom Ryan.
TOP CLASS!
