Leinster Senior Cup Quarter Final – SCT V St Gerards

Leinster Senior Cup Quarter Final
Sunday, 18th February 2018

S.C.T. 19 | St Gerard’s School 17 |
This was tough – very tough on a number of levels.
Tough on Blackrock: a very demanding game in which we trailed 3-14 at half-time and only took the lead for the first time with 5 minutes to go.
Toughness – Resilience – to keep going when it is not going quite as you like. This is a great quality, one that gives us hope.
Tough on St. Gerard’s who were outstanding. In many ways, they deserved to win but, unfortunately for them, it didn’t go their way. We salute them, understand their disappointment, acknowledge their performance.
I congratulate Liam Turner and his squad on a dogged performance.
Message: Same as first round, do not give the ball away.
I thank our coaches Mr Vanstone, Mr Lambe, Mr Pickering, Mr Murray, Mr Twoomey, Mr Moore, our medical team led by Dr. Terry Boyle, Charlie Byrne (6th Year) and our Cheerleaders, my colleagues and our students in attendance.
Next Cup Match:
J.C.T. V St. Gerard’s
Tuesday, 27th February @ 3.00pm – Donnybrook.
