Junior Cricket – Quarter Final Win

Congratulations to Captain Gavin Hoey (3rd Year) and the Junior Cricket squad on qualifying for the semi-final of the Cup defeating Gonzaga.

Excellent performance in their two group games helped them to win their section, with notable individual performances such as Jamie Sood’s (3rd Year) hat-trick and Gavin Hoey’s quick-fire 60 not out against Castleknock, David Cosgrave’s 73 (3rd Year) and Gavin Hoey’s 64 versus St Mary’s were also impressive.

The quarter final against Gonzaga was won by 8 wickets with the Junior Team successfully reaching target of 67 runs for the loss of just two wickets. Ben Brownlee (2nd Year) was the pick of the bowlers with 4 excellent wickets.

The semi-final against Wesley will take place next week.
