Congratulations to Andrew Murphy (3rd Year) and his Junior Squad on their victory over a tenacious Belvedere side. It was hard-fought throughout as we struggled to turn territorial dominance and a preponderance of possession into points – a further compliment to Belvedere.

 

Patience, composure and perseverance saw us through. The Junior Squad has had an unbeaten season, which provides evidence of talent in depth. The extended Squad rightly share in this victory.

 

I thank our Coaches Mr Vanstone, Mr Lambe, Mr Manion, Mr Fallon,

Mr Toomey and Mr Moore for their expertise, commitment and dedication.

I also thank Ms Fitzgerald and Dr McShane for their medical support on match days.

 

As Mr Vanstone said in his address on Sunday evening, our success is a product of the combined effort of the Blackrock Community – Religious, parents, boys, our colleagues in management, teaching, household, grounds, maintenance, healthcare, catering and our Cheerleaders led by Alfie O’Sullivan, Andrew Hally-Doody, Jeff Burke, David Carr and James Fox (all 6th Year).
