BLACKROCK COLLEGE 59 | ST PAULS SECONDARY SCHOOL 64 |
We commiserate with Captain Barry O’Sullivan (6th Year) and his squad as they led for 38 and a half of the 40 minutes match time but unfortunately lost out to an outstanding St. Pauls side who showed great character to stay in the game throughout and take the victory at the end.
We led 25-20 at half time and at different stages of this game had built a ten point advantage but unfortunately just couldn’t build this into a more commanding position. Having said that 59 points is an excellent scoring total.
Roberto Brusasca (5th Year) with 22 points was superb along with his younger brother Nicholas (4th Year) who contributed 18 points. Barry O’Sullivan and his squad have a huge amount more left in the season. We are one win away from qualifying for the East-Leinster League Quarter final on Tuesday 24th October. We begin our campaign in the South Dublin Basketball League at home to St. Marys.
I thank Mr O’Neill, Calum Henry (Class of 2016) and Rob Somers (Class of 2017).
