Inter House Rugby 10s

THE 3^RD, 4^TH, 5^TH AND 6^TH YEAR, INTER-HOUSE RUGBY 10s COMPETITIONS were contested in ideal conditions on Saturday last, 6 September 2014.

In the 6^th Year Competition, Duff House beat McQuaid in the Final with Ryan C Murphy (McQuaid) named as Player Of The Tournament.

In 5^th Year, Ebenrecht beat Duff with Jack Ringrose (Duff) receiving the BEST PLAYER AWARD.

In 4^th Year, De Valera beat Ebenrecht with Sam Murphy (Ebenrecht) receiving the PLAYER OF THE DAY AWARD, principally for an outstanding try scored in the final.

Finally, in 3^rd Year in the A Competition, De Valera beat Duff, while in the B Final, Duff had their revenge on De Valera.  Harry Angulo and Jack Shanahan won the BEST PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT AWARD.

A great start the season.  I congratulate the House Captains and the boys on the spirit in which the Competitions were played.

I thank the Games Administrator Mr Evan O’Brien and the Year Deans on an excellent job in putting the event together and our Referees Mr Savage, Conor Kilcoyne (Class of 2012, Jack O’Carroll (Class of 2013), Mr Daly, Mr Fitzsimons, Mr Neville, Mr Murray, Tadhg Beirne, Dylan Coghlan (Class of 2013), Christian Dodd (Class of 2012),
Mr Vanstone, Mr Lambe, Mr Fairley, Mr Walsh and Mr Howlin for making it possible.
