Hurling
OUR 1ST TROPHY IN 80 YEARS
Congratulations to Stephen Dunne (2nd Year) and his Hurling Squad on winning the U15 DUBLIN ‘C’ CHAMPIONSHIP by beating
St. Kevin’s, Crumlin in Clontarf yesterday, Tuesday 12th May 2015.
Although not quite on par with the Fr. Dinan’s inspired victory over St Kieran’s College, Kilkenny in the Senior Boys ‘A’ Hurling Championship Final in 1935, this was, nonetheless, the consequence of high-class hurling.
James Kós (3rd Year) scored 6 goals while Niall Comerford and Stephen Dunne (both 2nd Year) were outstanding in the middle.
The final score (6:9 to 0:8) was a compliment to the teamwork and skill of our boys who dominated from start despite the best efforts of a talented St Kevin’s side.
I thank our Coach, Mr Mulligan for his work with the boys. This is a fine achievement. Well done!
