(All 6^th Year) who represented Blackrock in the first Round of the French Debating Competition Les Joutes Oratoires organised by the Alliance Française on Wednesday 14^th October, 2015.  Marcus won the Best Speaker Award.

The team successfully opposed the Motion that:

“L’Education Physique et Sportive (EPS) devrait être évaluée au Leaving Cert”

(PE should be a Leaving Certificate Exam subject) against Presentation School Terenure.

We wish them luck as they progress to the next Round.

VOCAB EXPRESS

in the ANNUAL VOCAB EXPRESS ONLINE LANGUAGE COMPETITION Transition Year (students of French) finished in 7^th Place out of a total of 60 schools in the UK and beyond.  Josh Garvey and Conor Williams (both Transition Year) fought a tremendous Online Vocab Battle and finished in 1^st and 2^nd Place in the College and a remarkable 10^th and 11^th Place respectively out of the international total of 7,000 students.  An excellent effort all ‘round.
